THE CONCEPT
The Arrow is for the next generation of France. The two towers activate the street level by having shared office space, cafes, bicycle parking, and an open courtyard for studying and hosting events. Each space is catered to sustaining a work/life balance which is emphasized among young people in French culture.
The journey to the residential front door is reimagined as there are multiple vertical corridors made to transport people to their homes. Each unit is entirely unique with three walls having access to cross ventilation. The unique form also helps channel wind into vertical turbines hidden in the skin as an alternate power solution. All of this is wrapped in a perforated aluminum mesh that filters the Mediterranean sun while letting the architecture breath.
